Roof Consulting and Litigation Support for Attorneys, Carriers and Adjusting Firms
A roof case is only as strong as the roof evidence behind it. Blake Snow is an experienced roof consultant with over 30 years of personal roofing experience who provides litigation consulting for plaintiff and defense attorneys and has given deposition testimony in multiple cases. His job is to document what the roof actually shows, and nothing more.
We focus on the largest facilities and large-loss scale: big single roofs, multi-building campuses and portfolios, on buildings from 10,000 square feet to multi-million-square-foot facilities.
Common roof problems
- Separating storm damage from age, wear, prior repairs and installation defects
- Large, multi-building losses with many roof systems
- Scope and cost disputes on very large roof areas
- The need for documentation that holds up in appraisal or litigation
- Opposing roof reports that need a technical review and rebuttal
- Early case evaluation: what the roof actually shows before positions harden
- Wet insulation and hidden damage that change the scope
Why roof documentation matters
Many attorneys rely on roof information gathered by public adjusters. Adjusting is a different skill set from roof consulting, and the documentation doesn't always hold up: storm dates that aren't tied to the damage, photos that don't show where water is actually getting in, and claims that treat every mark on a roof as storm damage. When a claim includes everything, the legitimate damage becomes harder to defend.
Policy first
Before anyone fights for roof damage, Blake looks at what the policy actually says. As a roof consultant, he compares the roof's documented condition and damage with the policy's terms, so nobody spends months chasing damage the policy plainly excludes. Some claims go after carriers for things the policy doesn't cover, and those claims can't be won. (This isn't legal advice. Coverage questions belong with the carrier and your attorney.)
Pointing each claim the right way from the start
Not every roof claim needs the same path. Some belong with an attorney from day one. Some are a better fit for a public adjuster. Some should go straight to appraisal. And some just need roof consulting, so the owner knows what's really going on with the roof. Blake helps figure out which path gives the client the best chance of a good outcome. For large-loss claims, we partner with a highly experienced public adjuster licensed in most states. When a claim needs legal help, we can also refer clients to trusted large-loss attorneys. We partner with some of the top large-loss attorneys in Texas and nationwide, along with large-loss consultants across the country. Blake doesn't do public adjusting or claim handling himself, and he doesn't give legal advice.
Built on repeat clients
Blake doesn't take work just to make money. He's building long-term relationships with clients who come back, because they know they'll get a straight answer about the roof.
How Blake works
- Legitimate damage only. Blake documents the damage the roof actually supports and separates it from age, wear, prior repairs and installation problems.
- He will walk away. If the roof doesn't support the claim, he'll tell you early and decline the assignment rather than stretch the evidence.
- The right thing, every time. The opinion is the same whichever side retains him.
What his reports document
- Roof age and overall condition
- Roof system type and estimated remaining life
- Roof deck and building structure as observed
- Every AC unit and roof penetration
- Full roof specifications: layers, insulation, cover board, membrane or covering, attachment, flashings and edge metal
- Storm-date evidence and damage tied to specific roof sections
- Photos of water infiltration with locations on a roof plan, plus infrared and drone inspections where needed

Frequently asked questions
Do you work for carriers or policyholders?
Both. Our opinion is the same whichever side retains us, and it is based on what the roof shows.
Do you negotiate or settle claims?
No. We provide roof expertise and documentation. We do not negotiate or settle claims for anyone, and coverage and legal questions belong to the carrier, the attorneys and the courts.
Do you work for plaintiff or defense attorneys?
Both. Blake reviews cases, inspects roofs, writes reports and has given deposition testimony in multiple cases for plaintiff and defense counsel. He is an experienced roof consultant, not an engineer.
Will you take any case?
No. Blake only takes assignments where the roof evidence supports an honest opinion. If it doesn't, he'll tell you and walk away.
How is this different from a public adjuster's report?
A roof consultant's report focuses on the roof itself: system, age, condition, remaining life, specifications, the cause of the damage and its scope, documented section by section. Blake doesn't negotiate or settle claims.
